GPP – Gender Development Department:

The social and culture environment of majority of the societies is that, male is in dominating position. GPP strongly supports and works to implement project focused on women and girls to bring them in mainstream as they can play their due role. Women are almost the half of over all population in Pakistan.
 
Goal:
Empowering women through raising awareness and uplifting their lives to enable them the productive members of family through respective earning
 
Objectives

• To sensitize women about their rights and legal issues for making their lives more peaceful and bold
• To enable women to harness their capacities and incorporate the skills that empowers them and uplifts them to improve their life standard
  

GPP works on the following issues for women empowerment and help them to get good status in the society.

• Girls’ education
• Bride Price
• Honor Killing
• Customary Rights
• Discrimination
• Harassment
• Rights Violations
  

Besides all this, GPP strongly believes that unless and until women are not sensitized and awakened from their rights, they ca not compete in the mainstream. GPP organize various trainings, workshops, awareness raising sessions and walks to enhance the capacity of women.
